Riverbank, Let's Spread Kindness!

Riverbank families have a brand new way to spread kindness this month! The 1st Annual Love Bug Invasion, presented by Love Riverbank & the Riverbank Rocks Facebook Group, is inviting community members of all ages to paint and hide inspirational rocks throughout the city during February 2026.

This heart-filled movement is all about sharing hope, love, and positive messages-one small rock at a time.

🐞 What Is the Love Bug Kindness Rock Invasion?

Participants paint handmade rocks with encouraging words, fun designs, or messages of love, then hide them around Riverbank for others to discover. It’s a simple act of kindness that can brighten someone’s day in the most unexpected way.

Whether you’re a seasoned rock painter or trying it for the first time, everyone is welcome -no art skills needed, just heart!

🎨 How Families Can Join the Fun

Getting involved is easy:

• Paint a rock with a message of love, hope, or positivity
• Hide it somewhere in Riverbank for someone to find
• Share your creations or discoveries in the Riverbank Rocks Facebook Group
• Keep the kindness going by creating more rocks throughout the month

  Special Community Event: Valentine's Day Kindness Rock Painting with Seniors

Throughout February, special community activities are also helping bring the Love Bug movement to life — including this heartwarming intergenerational event.

Families are invited to join Valentine’s Day Kindness Rock Painting with Seniors at Riverbank Post-Acute. Participants will decorate rocks using paint pens while visiting with senior residents and sharing messages of kindness, love, and positivity.

Rocks and supplies will be provided, and all ages are welcome. Participants are encouraged to wear clothes that can get messy.
